AC Repair and HVAC Service in Dr. Phillips

Dr. Phillips: from orange groves to Restaurant Row

Dr. Phillips is named for Dr. Philip Phillips, a Central Florida citrus magnate. By the early 1920s his groves covered land that is now Bay Hill, Orange Tree, Sand Lake Hills, Clubhouse Estates and Turkey Lake Park.

Today it's a busy unincorporated community known for the restaurants along West Sand Lake Road, often called Restaurant Row, the Sand Lake chain of lakes, and the Bay Hill area. Its location near the attractions means a mix of established neighborhoods, newer homes, condos and rentals.

Many Dr. Phillips homes date from the 1980s and 1990s, so original systems have often been replaced at least once, and some of those replacements are getting older too. Lakefront humidity and long cooling seasons make clean coils and clear drain lines especially important.
