AC Repair and HVAC Service in Windermere, FL

Windermere: a small town "Among the Lakes"

The Town of Windermere was founded in 1887 by Englishman John Dawe, who named it after Windermere in England's Lake District, and it was incorporated in 1925. Its motto is "Among the Lakes," and it sits on a narrow strip of land between Lake Down and Lake Butler in the Butler Chain of Lakes.

Downtown Windermere keeps a small-town feel on purpose: most streets in the original downtown grid are still unpaved dirt roads, and roundabouts handle traffic through the center of town. The wider Windermere area, with its lakefront estates and golf communities, extends well beyond the town limits.

Windermere-area homes range from older lake houses to large newer homes with multiple systems, zoned ductwork and equipment in attics. Bigger homes with several systems benefit from regular maintenance so a single failure doesn't take a whole floor out of comfort.
